About us

D PLAST, a.s. was founded in the year 1990. The manufacturing and development program of the company is specialized in the production of bonding agents, pastes, pellets, tubes, hoses, and extruded profiles for the food and construction industries, machinery, automobile industry, and the consumer sector. Production of plastic-coated sheet metals for the construction industry and surface treatment of metal elements are an important manufacturing program. The administrative, developmental, and manufacturing seat of the company is in the Zlín-Lužkovice industrial zone, and a part of the production is located in Zlín-Mladcová.

Until 2003, the production of bonding agents for the automobile industry was a part of the production program.  This production was moved to the subsidiary company D PLAST  EFTEC a.s.  towards the end of 2003.


The almost twenty year history of our own development gives us great experience in how to succeed with demanding European and overseas customers.

The conceptual, strategic, and organizational structure of the company accommodates the needs of customers. Fast, flexible, and technically perfect solutions of customers’ requirements is the first and primary task.

We are members of “Plastikářský klastr“ which serves to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the plastic industry in the Zlín Region.

We have a certified quality management system pursuant to the ISO 9001:2008 standard and pursuant to the requirements for the analysis of danger and critical HACCP control points. Preparation for certification pursuant to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard with a goal of certification in June 2011 is currently in progress.

History in dates:

  • 1990 – Establishment of D PLAST spol. s r.o. - production focused on PVC-based products,
  • 1992 – Company headquarters and production moved to Zlín – Malenovice,
  • 1993 – Merging the development of PVC binding agents for the automotive industry of D PLAST and the production of Vulkan into Vulkanplast a.s. (joint-stock company)
  • 1997 – Construction of new D PLAST premises in Lužkovice, initiation of production in the new premises,
  • 2000 – Establishment of subsidiary company D PLAST - EFTEC a.s., detachment of sealing element production for the automotive industry from D PLAST company, installation of new technology for mixing PVC plastisols,
  • 2000 – 2003 - Development of granulate production for the food processing industry, extension of the production premises in the Zlín - Příluky industrial zone, construction of new administrative and production facilities of the D PLAST company, installation of new production technologies
  • 2004 – 2005 - extrusion technologies development, meeting the capacity of granulating line,
  • 2006 – change of legal status to a.s.,
  • 2007 – opening of logistic centre,
  • 2008 – 2009 – Launching the extrusion technology hall in operation, establishment of the Research-Development Center, installation of an experimental extrusion line.
  • 2010 – Development of extrusion technologies, Installation of a compunding line.
